Here is a video of the latest job we have just completed - bespoke storage units for an attic bedroom.
3rd April 2013
We have had a big increase in enquiries this year and jobs are now booked in until August. I am still happy to do home visits for no-obligation designs and quotes as soon as we can fit it in. Customers continue to be very pleased with the work and it's important to me that it stays that way! There are only 3 of us at the moment and while I am working on expanding the business to take on more work, this will be a slow process to ensure that our values and quality of work remain consistent.
Recent projects include: Pine shelving for an attic; Bespoke wardrobes in hand painted white eggshell finish; Pine home office shelving including a fold-away desk; Custom designed under-stairs storage; Custom-made pine bed for a small box room, built to fit over the bulkhead over the stairs.
23rd April 2012
I recently finished a custom designed understairs storage area incorporating an angled door and a deep triangular drawer, in panelled pine. Behind the door were white box shelves. The drawer ran on heavy duty ball bearing runners. Also pictured below: a bathroom cupboard in the space beneath attic stairs; a pair of alcove units in pine handpainted in white eggshell; a design in progress for a loosely moroccan style bedroom makeover incorporating hand made lattice panels with a raised jerusalem cross feature.

Here are some photos taken recently of past projects now in use. Also a brand new custom designed TV unit. Here is an excerpt from the customer's feedback to me: "...well I'm really happy with the work. The idea itself - to make an asymmetrical corner unit - was a bit of a gamble aesthetically, but it's paid off extremely well I think. It looks great, it makes full use of the space, there's plenty of room for cables at the back and it slides really easily in and out. And on top of all that it's beautifully made and finished - well worth it I reckon :-)" (Mr C Dymond, Sheffield)

I will not be doing any more quotes between now and January. However you can still email me with enquiries or to set up a visit in the new year. Below are some images of projects completed recently:
1st November 2011
Recently finished and current projects:
- Custom made fireplace in pine stained and varnished to match old furniture. Arch shaped to fit existing brick arch.
- The large cuboard with sliding doors mentioned before has now been painted.
- An alcove storage unit for a bedroom is on the drawing board. It is designed with future changes of use in mind, so it can convert from cupboards and shelves for a child's bedroom at the moment to a wardrobe and drawers later. Doors have been carefully sized so they can be configured in different places, and the unit is made in such a way that shelves can be moved or removed or drawers added later.

Recently finished projects: White painted pine bookcases, custom designed. Epoxy resin repairs and repainting of a rotting wooden conservatory. Custom designed floor-to-ceiling 'Tallboy' cupboard in Walnut effect. Large storage cupboard for chairs, with sliding doors on a heavy duty track.
Other News: I have been busy building relationships with related service providers in the industry, meaning we can now offer a wider range of finishes to our bespoke fitted furniture:
We can offer powder coating to MDF creating a hard wearing professional looking finish (click here for more information on the process).
Also a huge range of vinyl wrapped, and melamine finishes in endless colours and woodgrain effects (on top of the existing real wood, veneers, and stained/varnished/oiled/painted etc finishes on offer). Click here for more information on my suppler of vinyl and melamine effects
We also have a business relationship with an LED lighting supplier enabling us to integrate hi-tec lighting into our projects.
I have recently taken on an apprentice. Please note that due to the increase in orders I may not be able to fit in new jobs until the new year - though I am happy to prepare quotes sooner.

Projects I am currently working on: Bespoke pair of bookcase and cupboard units in white painted pine - nearing completion in the workshop. Repairing a wooden conservatory next week (digging out rot and repairing with epoxy resin before repainting). Finalising the design of a full wall shelving system. Also a number of other custom storage projects at different stages.

2 storage projects recently completed.
27th July 2011
I am currently working on some maple alcove shelving, a cabin bed and a folding table. A few other storage jobs are on the drawing board, plus some doors and a conservatory repair. So I am booked up til early October but still happy to take enquiries and prepare designs for people who can wait 2 or 3 months before installation.

The birth of my first child 1 week ago today has meant I am taking some time off but will be back to work next week. I am booked up til late august, but can squeeze in small jobs or line up bigger jobs after that. Renovating her room has given me ideas for nursery storage and lighting, and I am also currently working on a combined child's bed and storage system for a client. If you are looking for some unique design or joinery work for your own child's bedroom, get in touch!
